The first letter of 2026
27.01.2026
Hi, this is Ksenia Fadeeva.
This is the first letter I’m writing to you in the new year, 2026. And I want to begin the year by saying thank you.
Thank you so much!
You donated 3,066,948 roubles to the New Year appeal for political prisoners. That means hundreds of political prisoners and their loved ones will keep receiving help in the new year.
Thanks to your donations, 70 families will travel to prisons and colonies and see their loved ones during visits — and these are often very expensive journeys. 40 people will keep receiving medicines and vitamins. Many will get good drinking water and be able to order food and hygiene products from the prison shop. Your help means a chance to preserve human dignity and health, as far as that is possible.
We’ve already told political prisoners’ relatives the good news that we have money to support them for a while longer. Look at how they replied.
These words are meant for you:

Thank you so much from […] and from me. God grant you and everyone involved good health and well-being in everything!
Thank you so much for extending it to April! You’re our lifesaver! […] wrote to me 🙏🙏🙏
Good evening. Oh, thank you so much, simply wonderful news. A deep bow to you all 🙏❤️ — We’ll be waiting for good news in May… — Oh, I really hope so.
Hello. Our family is so very grateful to you all!!!! Thank you 💐 you can’t imagine what a support this is for us!
— Hello! We can extend our support a little longer — until April inclusive. — Such good news ❤️
Dear, thank you so much, what would I do without you, God bless you 😇🙏👶 and a huge thank you from me to all the team.
— […] can count on 15 thousand a month for another six months. — I’ll tell her. She’ll be so very happy. And grateful. Thank you. I have no words to express it. May everything go well for you. And above all, stay healthy.
I’m very grateful for the help! I wouldn’t have managed on my own….
We very much want to keep helping after April too, so I’m asking you, if you can, to set up a recurring donation.
When I read the message from a political prisoner’s wife:
I wouldn’t have managed on my own…
I think that she is not alone at all. She has you — the people who keep helping and do it together with us, steadily and regularly.
If you and another 1,000 people set up a recurring donation, we’ll be sure the money for support is there.
In January we published our report on the last four months of work in 2025.
In that time, thanks to you, 278 people received help totalling 13,656,650 roubles.
Right now 210 people receive ongoing help from the Marathon, and another 45 received one-off payments.
We don’t know what this year, 2026, holds for us. But let’s do everything we can together to bring better times closer and support those who are having a particularly hard time right now.
Thank you for being with us!
Kind regards,
Ksenia Fadeeva
