September 19, 2026 - Letters to Political Prisoners
What is this event?
On Saturday, September 19th, starting from 6:00 PM, we invite you to join us in writing letters to political prisoners.
This time, we will write to seriously ill political prisoners, joining the international “Summer of Hope” initiative, albeit a little late. As you know, conditions in Russian prisons are harsh even for people without health problems. For those suffering from chronic or serious illnesses, they become hellish: medical care is provided late or not at all. Under these conditions, healthy people lose their health, while sick people lose their lives.
We write to them to express our solidarity and provide moral support, as well as to draw public attention to the inhumane conditions in which sick prisoners are held.
If you have never participated before — come along, we will guide you step by step.Even if you are already an expert — we would be delighted to share this evening with you!
✍️ You can choose whichever format you prefer: paper letters or electronic ones (which are faster and allow for a reply). If possible, please bring a laptop or a smartphone with you. For traditional mail, you can bring postcards, envelopes, and stamps (Zone 1).
Remember, a letter is not just a gesture of solidarity. It is a way to say: we know about you, you are in our thoughts, you are not alone.
